Louisville-based Saloon Spirits LLC recently launched Ballotin Chocolate Whiskey in four flavors: Original Chocolate, Bourbon Ball, Carmel Turtle and Chocolate Mint. (Fun fact: A ballotin is a box, originating in Belgium, in which chocolates are sold.)
INGREDIENTS
1.5 oz Ballotin Original Chocolate whiskey
0.75 oz bourbon
2 dashes orange bitters
2 dash chocolate mole bitters
Orange slice and cherry optional**
Garnish: chocolate dipped orange chip chocolate rim.
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine Ballotin Original Chocolate whiskey, bourbon, chocolate bitters and orange bitters in a mixing glass and add ice.
Stir until well combined.
Strain into a chocolate rimmed rocks glass with one large rock. Garnish with a chocolate dipped orange peel.
