1792 Full Proof Bourbon (750 mL) - Bob's Barrel Pick
Strong and full of flavor, this bold bourbon boasts an incredible deep and smoky taste, superbly balanced with sweet vanilla and notes of caramel.
What age is 1792 full proof?
The mash bill is rumored to be 75% corn, 15% rye, and 10% barley, though per Sazerac company policy this is not officially disclosed. Though this does not carry an age statement, the kind folks at Buffalo Trace inform me that “the target age is 8 years.”
Is 1792 a good whiskey?
Barton Distillery (now Barton 1792 Distillery) has been around since 1879 and offers daily tours. The bottom line: 1792 bourbon is an honest no-nonsense high-rye bourbon at an excellent price point.
1792 is a premium bourbon owned by the Sazerac Company, a global beverage alcohol giant that took over the brand and its distillery in 2009. Formerly known as Ridgewood Reserve, the 1792 brand is produced at Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Ky.
