It is a straight bourbon, meaning it has been aged for a minimum of 24 months, and has been matured in new charred barrels. Lineage is a marrying of the traditional Scotch Single Malts that have long been an inspiration for innovative approaches to grain and maturation to celebrate Texas provenance.

Who owns Balcones Distillery?
Founded by Chip Tate and Jared Himstedt in 2008, it has grown to become one of the largest craft distilleries in Texas, with an innovative and diverse core range of whiskies. The Waco based company now operates from a 65,000-square foot facility, with a production capacity of 90,000, 9-liters cases annually.
Made with 100% Hopi blue corn, this corn whiskey is double-distilled in copper pot stills and aged in used 5-gallon barrels. This distillery out of Waco, Texas has been doing some very special things for many years.
What do you mix with Balcones?
Add bourbon, pecan syrup, and bitters to an ice- filled rocks glass and stir until chilled. Garnish with an orange twist. Add baby blue and lime juice into an ice-filled highball glass or mule mug. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge
